IT IS OFFICIAL – Dublin has gone doughnut mad.
With doughnut shops popping up all over the place (and people queuing up to eat them), they’ve almost overtaken burritos as Dubliners’ treat of choice. And isn’t it time this love was celebrated?

Tip on down to Camden Street next Saturday (May 21) for the Dublin Doughnut Festival, located in the Palace venue.
You can enjoy a few jars while sampling the doughy goods, provided by four of Dublin’s finest doughnut merchants – Krust Bakery, famed for their cronuts:
Treasured Sugar, who do a very intriguing mango and peach doughnut:

Dublin Doughnut Co, which specialises in decadent fillings including this 99-flavoured doughnut:
And of course, the beloved Rolling Donut, if you like your doughnuts simple yet delicious.
DJs will also be on hand to soundtrack your pastry-gobbling with any number of ‘jams’ (sorry).
The festival is being held as part of the Dublin Rave Market, where you can browse local craft and design while having a bop.
We won’t be happy until we’re there with a doughnut in each paw. See you May 21?
